Belt drive and chain drive

How exciting to learn about belt drive systems! Count belt drives: a tool that uses belts — often made out of rubber or plastic — to drive power from one wheel (called a pulley) to another. It is a belt that goes around the pulleys. One of these belt drive motor is tied with a motor or an engine, and the other one is connected to a driven load, such as a conveyor or a water pump. Vehicular power transmissions are already easy peasy with these systems.

The advantages of using chain drives over belt drives

These types of chains are generally made of metal, which adds strength and durability. They live longer than belts, especially when moving heavy loads or at high speeds, as in motorcycles and bicycles.
